Advanced Vedic Mathematics

Vedic is derived from the root word Veda, which means knowledge. Vedic Maths book was written by an Indian monk, Swami Bharati Krishna Tirtha. It was published in 1965.

It includes tricks of mental calculation techniques to solve arithmetic problems in an easy and faster way. It consists of 16 Sutras and 13 Sub-Sutras, which will help solve arithmetic, geometry, calculus, algebra, and conic questions.

Importance of Vedic Mathematics

Vedic mathematics stimulates curiosity in the hearts of humans due to its simplicity, freshness, and agreeability.

This curiosity makes the student alert and aware of solving the problem step by step from the beginning. Thus, Vedic mathematics is a science of awakening someone's inner soul. This awareness becomes the basis of human development and his personality.

Calculation Using Sutras

You can solve advanced mathematics only when you have good practice of basic sutras. So that you can choose a proper sutra for the appropriate solution for a problem-related term.

You don't need hints when you have good practice over calculations.

Example: Multiply 986 × 914 (Sutra Ekadhikena Purvena)

Solution: sum = 100 = 9 × 10 / 86 × 14 = 90 / 1204 = 901204

Hint: Sum of last digits (86+14= 100)

Addition of first term 9×(9+1)

Multiply last two digits (86×14)

On combining, the answer will be 901204.
